December 2009's Dr Sketchy

I was worried about being late for this one, but the models ended up being late, too, so Aliza posed for most of the short beginning sketches until the models made it and finished dressing.

As part of their costumes skits, one of our models wished for something for Christmas (while tied up).

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss January's event, as I'll be flying back from a short trip to MD.

Dr Sketchy performs Molly Crabapple's book

This month Johnny Blazes and Madge of Honor reenacted scenes from Molly Crabapple's "Scarlett Takes Manhattan".

I feel kinda rusty, still. Need to do this more regularly.

Birthday party drawings

I feel guilty when I haven't been drawing for a while. I missed Dr Sketchy's this month to dress up at a Ren Faire; and while I had a lot of fun, it was too chilly to sit down and draw anything (plus there was cool stuff to see!).

Luckily, I had a good chance to draw again at a party recently. It was fun and relaxing.

Dr Sketchy's - Kitty Fox

It's that time of month again!

This month's model was Kitty Fox.
The backwards-over-a-chair thing seems to be catching on. It's nifty.

Then she got a ukulele.

Mm, piraty-goodness.

I didn't feel like I was really up to snuff, but I know I wasn't the only one having trouble capturing her face. I'll blame my not having sketched around the house, or friends at parties lately.

Sketches from Pi-Con

I spent last weekend at a nerdy convention in CT with a bunch of friends. While sitting my dealers table, I got to sit back and relax, hang out and chat with cool (by geek standards) people, cut some mat board, and draw some of the people around me.
